St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School is a Voluntary Aided (VA) maintained school, which means our governing body is the school’s Admission Authority and is therefore responsible for admitting children.
Our school admits pupils by criteria known either as a Foundation Place (active in the life and worship of a Christian church) or as an Open Place (admitted irrespective of religious background).

Please note: the current Admissions Policy for 2017-18 now has an addendum confirming that a sibling in the school must be in the main school (Reception to Year Six). This point has been added for clarification in consultation with Wandsworth Council, is in line with established practice, and does not represent a change in policy.

If your child was born between 1 September 2012 and 31 August 2013 you can apply for a primary school reception year place for September 2017 from 1 September 2016.
Please note: your application form and any supplementary forms must be received by 15 January 2017. This includes both online and postal applications.

If you intend to apply for a Foundation Place (active in the life and worship of a Christian church) you are also required to fill in a supplementary information form. Please download and print off the supplementary form below:
If you apply online you will be emailed the outcome of your application on the evening of 18 April 2017. If you apply on a paper form, you will be sent an outcome letter by first class mail on 18 April 2017.
You will also be sent a notification letter if it has not been possible to offer your first preference school. The notification letter will provide detailed information about the outcome of your application and what do next.
All Nursery Class admission applications should be made directly to the school.

Please note: there is no automatic transfer from Nursery to Reception; parents will need to make a separate application in the relevant year. Parents of children eligible for a second year in Nursery will need to make a further application for the second year.
Enquiries about applications for occasional places to years other than Reception should be made directly to the school.

Every October our school will host an open day. All prospective parents are encouraged to attend this annual event to find out more about the school and ask any specific questions.
Our next open day will be held on Tuesday 17th October 2017 from 4pm–5.30pm.
You do not need to register your attendance beforehand, just turn up on the day. Entrance is via Charlwood Road. Unfortunately, we do not allow children to attend this event. All the relevant forms will be available for you on the day.
