Welcome to Year 2!
In Year Two we are proud to be the top of KS1 and the children are becoming excellent role models to the younger children. We are preparing for a smooth transition into KS2. It is a busy year with a much more formal curriculum as we prepare for national assessments in May. The staff team in Year 2 work really hard to ensure that all of our children have the best opportunity possible to achieve their full potential. There are many highs this year including trips to Kew Gardens, Museum of London, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Florence Nightingale Museum, Wandsworth Recycling Centre and the Wetlands Centre which not only provide lasting memories but the opportunity to extend learning. Each topic is launched with an exciting Entry Point or Wow moment and ends with an Open classroom for parents and carers to come into school and find out what the children have learnt! Monthly cooking lessons are also a key feature of Year 2 as well as a range of visitors to the class to support learning.
