St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School has a very active and supportive parent body who are known as Friends of St. Mary’s School – or more simply FoSMS!
Every parent who has a child at our school is automatically a member of FoSMS and they are very welcome to attend the regular meetings held sometimes in the afternoon and sometimes in the evening to discuss how they can help the school in many practical ways – the most obvious being the raising of money!
FoSMS is run by elected parent members alongside the Head Teacher, Miss Cheryl Payne, who serves as Chair. Mrs Michele Williams is currently the Vice Chair and Co-ordinator of FoSMS. The AGM is held in October.
FoSMS organise many events throughout the school year and work collaboratively on projects that help to enhance the children’s experiences here at St. Mary’s. The head teacher and staff are very grateful for the many extra resources and equipment that have been provided by FoSMS for the school.
Here is a list of some of the events organised and supported by FoSMS that usually take place during the school year:
FoSMS has its own dedicated website – so for further information, FoSMS news, minutes from meetings, details about how money has been spent and to find out how you can get involved please visit the following website:
