Senior Leadership Team

At St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School the Head Teacher works closely with a Senior Leadership Team (SLT), which shares the collective responsibility for all aspects of school leadership and management. Our SLT members have specific responsibilities across the school but overall will ensure the efficient daily running and sound discipline of the school, the pastoral care of all pupils and staff and implementing an agreed whole school development plan (SDP).

Classroom teachers

At St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School our Early Years Foundation Stage, otherwise known more simply as EYFS, is made up of our Nursery class (YN) and Reception class (YR); Key Stage 1 (KS1) is made up of our Year 1 class (Y1) and Year 2 class (Y2); and Key Stage 2 (KS2), the largest of the key stages, is made up of our Year 3 class (Y3), Year 4 class (Y4), Year 5 class (Y5) and Year 6 class (Y6). Our supportive teaching team work closely together and are delighted to work with your child to help them progress in both their learning and development through our inspiring and challenging curriculum. Our nurturing staff will always be available to your child to ensure their day is a happy one.​​

Specialist Teaching Staff

At St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School we have a dedicated staff team that specialise in the provision of teaching some of our foundation subjects: Art and Design, Music and Physical Education (PE). Supportive staff

At St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School we have a dedicated support staff team that assist with the teaching and learning across the school. Sometimes they will work more closely with children who require additional support with their learning or a specific intervention to help them progress. Our supportive team are delighted to work with your child whatever their need and will work closely with your child’s class teacher to help them achieve their learning goals through our inspiring and challenging curriculum.

At St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School our dedicated office staff work hard in the administration of school business and communications. They are based in the main office and are usually the first people you will meet when you visit our school. Our office staff are on hand to happily assist with all enquiries.

Lunchtime Staff

At St. Mary’s Church of England Primary School we have a supportive staff team that supervise our children during lunchtime. Our lunchtime supervisors are delighted to work with your child and will always be available to your child to ensure their lunchtime is a happy one.
